Terms of Service
Effective date: May 23, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By installing, accessing, or using LectureLoop (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (the “Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service. These Terms form a legal agreement between you and LectureLoop LLC (“LectureLoop,” “we,” “our,” or “us”).
2. Description of Service
LectureLoop is a Chrome browser extension and subscription software-as-a-service that uses artificial intelligence to generate study materials — summaries, timestamped contents, flashcards, and quizzes — from publicly available YouTube videos that you choose. The Service is provided for personal, educational use.
3. Account Registration
To use most features of the Service, you must sign in with a Google account. You agree to provide accurate, current information and to keep your sign-in credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us at [email protected] immediately if you suspect unauthorized use.
4. Subscription and Payment
LectureLoop offers the following plans:
- Free Trial — one study pack, videos up to 60 minutes, available for 7 days from sign-up. No payment required.
- Basic — $12 per month or $120 per year, 3 hours per week of study pack generation.
- Pro — $24 per month or $240 per year, 12 hours per week of study pack generation.
Paid plans are processed via Stripe, our third-party payment processor. You may choose to be billed monthly or annually for any paid plan. Annual plans are billed in full at the start of each annual billing period and provide a discount compared to paying monthly. All subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period (monthly or annual) unless you cancel before the renewal date.
Cancellation. You may cancel your subscription at any time by accessing the Stripe Customer Portal through the “Manage Subscription” link in the LectureLoop extension, or by emailing [email protected]. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period; you will retain access to paid features through that date. You will not be charged for any subsequent billing periods. See our Refund Policy for additional details.
Plan changes. You may upgrade or downgrade your subscription, or switch between monthly and annual billing, at any time through the Stripe Customer Portal accessible via the LectureLoop extension. When you change plans mid-billing-cycle, Stripe automatically calculates a prorated charge or credit based on the unused portion of your current plan and the new plan rate. The prorated adjustment appears on your next invoice or as an immediate charge depending on the change.
We reserve the right to change pricing or plan structure with at least 30 days’ notice to existing subscribers.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree to use the Service only for lawful, personal-educational purposes and not to:
- Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit content generated by the Service
- Use the Service to violate YouTube’s Terms of Service or any applicable third-party agreement
- Attempt to access the Service through automated means, scrapers, bots, or scripts not provided by LectureLoop
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the underlying models or prompts behind the Service
- Use the Service to generate, store, or distribute illegal, harassing, or infringing content
6. Intellectual Property
LectureLoop LLC owns the Service, including the extension code, server software, AI prompts, branding, and visual design. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service in accordance with these Terms. Study packs you generate are yours to use for personal study; you may not resell or redistribute them commercially. 8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, LectureLoop LLC and its officers, employees, and affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability for any claim under these Terms will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for violation of these Terms or for any conduct that we determine is harmful to other users, the Service, or third parties. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Sections 6 (Intellectual Property), 7 (Disclaimers), 8 (Limitation of Liability), and 11 (Governing Law) survive termination.
10. Changes to Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to active subscribers via email or in-product notification at least 14 days before they take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of revised Terms constitutes acceptance of the changes.
