Terms of Service

Effective date: July 16, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By installing, accessing, or using LectureLoop (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (the “Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service. These Terms form a legal agreement between you and LectureLoop LLC (“LectureLoop,” “we,” “our,” or “us”).

2. Description of Service

LectureLoop is a subscription software-as-a-service — available as a Chrome browser extension, a web application, and an Android mobile app — that uses artificial intelligence to generate study materials (summaries, timestamped contents, flashcards, and quizzes) from publicly available YouTube videos that you choose and from audio or video recordings that you upload. The Service is provided for personal, educational use.

3. Account Registration

To use most features of the Service, you must sign in with a Google account. You agree to provide accurate, current information and to keep your sign-in credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us at [email protected] immediately if you suspect unauthorized use.

4. Subscription and Payment

LectureLoop offers the following plans:

Paid plans purchased on the web or through the extension are billed via Stripe, our third-party payment processor. Purchases made in the LectureLoop Android app are billed through Google Play Billing and are additionally subject to Google Play’s terms. You may choose to be billed monthly or annually for any paid plan. Annual plans are billed in full at the start of each annual billing period and provide a discount compared to paying monthly. All subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period (monthly or annual) unless you cancel before the renewal date.

Cancellation. You may cancel your subscription at any time by accessing the Stripe Customer Portal through the “Manage Plan” link in the LectureLoop extension, by cancelling in your Google Play subscription settings if you subscribed through the Android app, or by emailing [email protected]. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period; you will retain access to paid features through that date. You will not be charged for any subsequent billing periods. See our Refund Policy for additional details.

Plan changes. You may upgrade or downgrade your subscription, or switch between monthly and annual billing, at any time from the plan picker in the LectureLoop extension. Upgrades take effect immediately: you are charged right away, with a prorated adjustment that accounts for the unused portion of your current plan. Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing period: you keep your current plan until then, the new plan and price apply from your next billing period, and no mid-period charge, credit, or refund is issued. Plan changes for subscriptions purchased through Google Play are managed through Google Play.

We reserve the right to change pricing or plan structure with at least 30 days’ notice to existing subscribers.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful, personal-educational purposes and not to:

6. Intellectual Property

LectureLoop LLC owns the Service, including the extension code, server software, AI prompts, branding, and visual design. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service in accordance with these Terms. Study packs you generate are yours to use for personal study; you may not resell or redistribute them commercially. Source video content remains the property of its original creator and is subject to YouTube’s terms.

7. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. AI-generated content may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies and is not a substitute for instruction from a qualified educator or for primary source material. You are responsible for verifying any information before relying on it for academic, professional, or other consequential purposes.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, LectureLoop LLC and its officers, employees, and affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability for any claim under these Terms will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for violation of these Terms or for any conduct that we determine is harmful to other users, the Service, or third parties. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Sections 6 (Intellectual Property), 7 (Disclaimers), 8 (Limitation of Liability), and 11 (Governing Law) survive termination.

10. Changes to Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to active subscribers via email or in-product notification at least 14 days before they take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of revised Terms constitutes acceptance of the changes.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. You and LectureLoop LLC agree that any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Spokane County, Washington.
