Refund Policy

Overview

This policy explains how cancellations and refunds work for LectureLoop subscriptions. By subscribing to a paid plan, you agree to the terms below in addition to our Terms of Service.

How to Cancel

You can cancel your LectureLoop subscription at any time, for any reason. Two ways to cancel:

Your access continues through the end of your current billing period. You will not be charged again after that.

Cancellation of Annual Plans

Annual subscriptions follow the same cancellation rules: you may cancel at any time, and your access continues until the end of your current annual billing period (the date your annual subscription would next renew). We do not provide refunds for partial annual periods. If you cancel mid-year, you retain full access to your paid plan until the original renewal date.

Subscription Refunds

For monthly subscriptions: you will not be charged again after cancellation, but we do not provide refunds for the current monthly billing period.

For annual subscriptions: you will not be charged again after the end of your annual term. We do not provide refunds for unused months remaining in your current annual subscription.

In both cases, your access to paid features continues through the end of your current billing period (whether monthly or annual).

Plan Upgrades and Downgrades

You may change between Basic and Pro, or switch between monthly and annual billing, at any time from the plan picker in the LectureLoop extension. Upgrades take effect immediately and are charged right away, with a prorated adjustment for the unused portion of your current plan. Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing period: you keep your current plan until then, the lower price applies from your next billing period, and no mid-period refund or credit is issued. Plan changes for subscriptions purchased through Google Play are managed through Google Play.

Free Plan

LectureLoop’s free plan — one study pack, for videos up to 60 minutes — is free to use and does not expire. No credit card is required, so there is no charge to refund if you choose not to upgrade.

If you upgrade to a paid plan through Stripe (web or extension checkout) and are unsatisfied within 7 days of your first payment, contact [email protected] to request a full refund of that first charge (monthly or annual). After 7 days, the standard subscription refund policy above applies. For purchases made through Google Play, see “Purchases Made Through Google Play” below.

Billing Errors and Technical Issues

If you believe you were charged in error (duplicate charge, incorrect amount, charge after cancellation, or a sustained technical issue that prevented you from using the Service), email [email protected] within 30 days of the charge. We review these requests on a case-by-case basis and issue refunds where appropriate.

Purchases Made Through Google Play

If you subscribed through the LectureLoop Android app, your payment was processed by Google Play, and refunds are governed by Google Play’s refund policy rather than the 7-day window above. You can request a refund from Google through your Play order history, or email [email protected] and we’ll help where we can. Refunds Google approves are issued by Google to your original payment method on Google’s timeline.

How Refunds Are Issued

Approved refunds for Stripe purchases are issued through Stripe back to the original payment method. Processing typically takes 5–10 business days to appear on your statement, depending on your card issuer. Refunds for Google Play purchases are issued by Google.
